RECOGNIZING 2ND STORY IN YOUR WILL OR TRUST

A revocable gift through your will or trust is a great way to support 2nd Story’s future. Wills are flexible, and can be revisited and adjusted with changes to your family, career, and estate size. We recommended the following language:

“I give to Serendipity Theatre Company DBA 2nd Story, an Illinois not-for-profit located at 3001 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL 60625 the following: (state the amount, type of property, or percentage of your estate) for its general purposes.”

If you would prefer your gift to be used to support specific programming, please let us know so we can ensure that we are using your gift accordingly. We also recommend including the following language in your will or trust:

“In the event that it becomes impossible or impracticable to use the gift in the manner set forth above, then Serendipity Theatre Company DBA 2nd Story may devote the gift in a manner which is in the best interest of Serendipity Theatre Company DBA 2nd Story, that honors as closely as practical my original intentions as specified above.”
