Ryan Viloria

Ryan Viloria (he/him/his) is a writer, activist, and Chicago native. He is the office manager for the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago and serves as the co-point person for i2i: Asian Pacific Islander Pride of Chicago. Ryan’s interests include exploring and promoting the city’s progressive resources, analyzing media representations of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans, trying new recipes, reading comic books, and scrolling through copious amounts of Facebook. This year, Ryan coordinated the national conference for the National Queer Asian Pacific Alliance, organized logistics for Chicago’s first Kultura Festival to promote rising modern Filipino-American culinary talent, saw the red moon eclipse through binoculars, and learned the versatility of stir-fried garlic.
