Anna Akers-Pecht

Anna Akers-Pecht is originally from Lawrenceville, Virginia, a small Southern town located in a county with one stoplight. She now lives in Hyde Park (which contains more than one stoplight, contrary to the belief of many North Siders–bless their hearts!), where you can find her wandering along the Point, chatting with strangers and their dogs on the sidewalk, and writing about her observations of people on the CTA. Anna is an alumna of the University of Chicago, and she currently works in alumni relations at Erikson Institute, a graduate school in child development. She can tell you all of the Latin variations of “alumnus” that you never wanted to know.
