So what does a sound designer do with 2nd Story?

• Works with the director to create sound designs or soundscapes for three or four ten-minute story performances for an individual 2nd Story event.
• Crafts a music set that will be played before, after, and in between those stories; the set will incorporate predetermined themes for the event that will allow for conversation among patrons.

The Sound Designer/Engineer will need to read the stories and attend a preliminary rehearsal, meet with the director to discuss design and execution, create the sound design, attend tech rehearsals with the director and tellers, and will be responsible for executing the design and doing the sound engineering during the performance(s).

Experience is not needed, but is preferred. Please include cover letter and resume to our Director of Programming. The position includes a modest stipend.
