2nd Story returns to Haymarket Pub and Brewery for the third time this season!

The Storytellers

Jess Kadish

Jess is a Boston-born, Chicago-based actor, director, and teaching artist. She is dedicated to the art of storytelling in all its forms and is especially passionate about developing new work. She is represented by Gray Talent Group and is also a company member with Aguijón Theater, Chicago's longest-running Spanish-language ensemble. She is a graduate of the Theater and Performance Studies program at the University of Chicago, has been a proud 2nd Story company member since 2012 and currently serves as Director of Programming at 2nd Story.

Khanisha Foster

Khanisha Foster is a mixed race actress, writer, teaching artist, the Associate Artistic Director of 2nd Story, ensemble member of Teatro Vista, a TCGYoung Leader of Color, and has collaborated with the Citizen’s Theatre in Scotland. She is in the film Chicago Boricua, is writing her memoir, HEROIN(E), screenplays, and has published a story about her work as a  teaching artist in the anthology Briefly Knocked Unconscious By A Low Flying Duck. Nick Ward

Nick Ward has been a 2nd Story company member since 2006, where he's told stories, produced and curated shows, taught classes, and now serves as the Co-Director of Education. Around Chicago, he's also worked in various capacities with Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Theatre Seven of Chicago, Sinnerman Theatre Ensemble, PineBox Theatre, and PR Casting. His writing has appeared on HowlRound, Hobart, Vol 1. Brooklyn, and Post Road Magazine. He lives in Pilsen with Fati, the poet, and Amadeus, the cat.

Stephanie Chavara

Stephanie Chavara is an actor, storyteller, and teaching artist.  She loves learning new things and going to new places.   She's studied at NYU, DePaul, and at the Rhodopi International Theatre Collective in Bulgaria. You can see her acting in theatres throughout Chicago, or riding her bike around town.

Bar and dining space is broken into 2 separate rooms, joined by a corridor that takes guests past the brew house and fermentation room. The location in West Loop offers convenient access to CTA and Metra trains and desirable visibility from two high traffic thoroughfares. Nearest CTA: Train - Three blocks southeast of the Morgan station via the Pink/Green lines Bus - Randolph/Halsted stop via the #8 Halsted bus
